Final Project: Structuring and Writing a Healthcare Policy Analysis.

Objective :Writing a Health Policy Brief: 

A policy brief is an objective analysis of a current and controversial health care cost/access/quality issue directed at a specific audience who is involved in or impacted by the issue – and/or who has the power and resources to implement your policy recommendation.

ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES (2 points /10%):

For this Final Project, The students are encouraged to write and describe a policy brief Health Policy,  assumes that your legislator has asked you to provide him/her with an objective analysis of a piece of current legislation so that s/he can decide on how to vote on the bill.

You need to read the article (in the additional weekly reading resources localize in the Syllabus and also in the Lectures link) assigned for this week and develop a 8-10-page paper reflecting your understanding and ability to apply the readings to your Health Care Setting. Each paper must be typewritten with 12-point font and double-spaced with standard margins. Follow APA format when referring to the selected articles and include a reference page.

EACH PAPER SHOULD INCLUDE THE   FOLLOWING:

1. Introduction (5 points / 25%)Offer an abstract that provide a brief outlook of the protocol and explaining in your own words what is meant by a Writing a Health Policy Brief, the advantages and improve for your Health care Facility.

2. Your Health Policy Brief (10 points 50%)

d. Description of potential unintended outcomes of the legislation

e. Summary of potential stakeholders, including who will support or oppose the issue and why.

3. Conclusion (3 points / 15%)

Briefly recapitulate your thoughts & conclusion to your Health Policy Brief . How did this writing impact your thoughts on Health Care Administrator and Human Resource Department? 

Evaluation will be based on how clearly you respond to the above, in particular:

a) The clarity with which you associate, relates, stablish and apply your knowledge to generate the Health Care Policy;

b) The Complexity, depth, scope, Profundity and organization of your paper; and,

c) Your conclusions, including a description of the impact of the Health Policy Brief on any Health Care Setting.
